TRIO at LWTech provides academic and support services to students who are low-income, first generation,* or students with disabilities. We encourage students to complete their degree or certificate and transfer to a four-year college if possible. We strive to make college a rewarding and successful experience for our students.

TRIO is available in-person and virtually Monday through Friday. To schedule an appointment, stop by T217, contact your advisor, or email TRIO. To schedule TRIO Tutoring, complete our tutor request form.

*Neither parent nor guardian has a bachelor’s degree and neither does the student.

In 2010, LWTech was awarded an additional TRIO, Student Support Services grant for 140 first-generation and/or low income students in addition to the TRIO grant for students with disabilities.

TRIO is a federal program funded by the U.S. Department of Education. The federal TRIO programs began in 1964. For further information on the history of TRIO, check out the Department of Education TRIO page.
