Katherine has worked in a variety of library settings from a county bookmobile to an art museum library. In all of these settings she enjoyed working with people and helping them access the information they needed. She earned master's degrees in Library and Information Studies and Art History from University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2013 and comes to LWTech most recently from New Mexico.
Katherine is partially funded by a National Science Foundation Advanced Technological Education Grant to convert welding and electronics courses to Open Educational Resources (OER). Please contact her if you are interested in learning about OER and open pedagogy, finding openly licensed materials for your courses, or connecting with others who are doing this work. You can also find out more about Open Education at LWTech on our OER webpage.
Stirling is the newest librarian at LWTech. They earned their MLIS from San Jose State University in 2021 and worked at LWTech for two years as a library technician before making the jump to faculty librarian. They are passionate about accessibility, information literacy, and open pedagogy. Outside of the library, Stirling can usually be found knitting, playing tabletop RPGs and video games with their friends, or reading science fiction, fantasy, horror, or romance. Born and raised in Washington, they are happiest when it's raining and love to support local public libraries.
Hi, I'm Cassandra and I’m one of the Library Technicians here at the LWTech Library. After a long and varied career, I earned an A.A. from Bellevue College in 2003 (where I worked in the library from 2001-2006) and a BA in History from the University of Washington in 2005. I joined the LWTech Library team in 2011. In addition to history, I also have an extensive knowledge of comics, sorry, graphic novels, as well as being an avid reader of science fiction and fantasy (especially older stuff). I’m also an expert on all things Doctor Who, if that interests anyone. If you need any information about these subjects, or if you just want to chat about the kings of England, comic books, SF or who my favorite Doctor is, come on by.

Sue has been a librarian at LWTech since 2018, after working with several other community college libraries in the area. She is a strong advocate for equity, diversity and inclusion, and is always looking to see where this can be applied in the library and community.
When not at the library Sue loves to spend time in movement and in nature, including hiking, biking, cross country skiing and with fall color. She also loves visual art, music and dance.
Please share ideas with her for making the library a place of learning and enjoyment.
