The Assessment Center at Lake Washington Institute of Technology prepares students for today's careers and tomorrow's opportunities by providing quality testing and assessment services to our students, faculty, staff and community.
The Assessment Center is able to support students both in-person and virtually, depending on your availability.

The Assessment Center provides many types of testing and assessments. Some of the main types of testing we offer is Placement Testing, TEAS Testing, and PearsonVue tests.
There are many ways to assess your starting Math and English levels at LWTech. After you have been admitted to LWTech, you can determine which placement option is right for you.
If you are directed to take the Guided Self-Placement Assessments, you can do with
either online in Canvas or in-person. For in-person placement, visit the Assessment
Center (West Building, W204) with a valid photo ID during our drop-in hours.

The Assessment Center at Lake Washington Institute of Technology offers accommodated testing for students with disabilities.
If you would like to request for disability accommodations for testing please contact the Disabilities Support Services office. The required lead time for requests to be processed varies depending on the type of test.
After your accommodations are approved, you will need to contact the Assessment Center to make a testing appointment. Accommodated testing appointments are usually offered on the first Friday of each month. Depending on the type of accommodations needed, an appointment may be necessary for the Guided Self Placement test. If so, a DSS coordinator will arrange this with the Assessment Center.
