About the Nursing Program

The Nursing program provides a comprehensive education that will help you launch a career in health care. The program’s innovative approach to nursing education is designed to help you succeed as a professional in the health care area of your choice. The program features small class sizes, state-of-the-art learning labs, and clinical experiences in a variety of health care settings.

LWTech's Nursing program offers an Associated in Applied Science Transfer (AAS-T) degree in Nursing and Nursing Assistant Certificate of Completion (CNA).

The Nursing AAS-T degree prepares students who are highly educated, technically advanced, competent and caring individuals to practice professional nursing in a variety of settings and participate in lifelong learning. LWTech admits a diverse group of students, representing men and women, all ethnicities, and both immigrant and native born individuals. Graduates of the program are eligible to apply for the National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX). 92.2% of those admitted complete the program and more than 90% pass the NCLEX-RN licensing examination on their first attempt. In addition, it may prepare students interested in pursuing a degree at the baccalaureate level.

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program is a comprehensive program designed to prepare graduates to pass the NNAAP State Exam and obtain employment in the healthcare industry as competent members of healthcare teams.
