As part of our School of Design, the Illustration program offers students the opportunity to earn an associate degree in Illustration followed by the Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Applied Art - Illustration, allowing them to continue their studies and gain advanced knowledge in the field.

Our hands-on and career-focused approach provides students with the skills they need to succeed in a variety of sectors. Our associate degree program includes classes in visual art, digital design, and gaming, giving students a breadth of learning to prepare for job opportunities in various industries.

The Illustration AAS-T degree at LWTech, combines visual arts courses with design courses to prepare students for careers in the applied arts. During the first-year of the program, LWTech Illustration students will complete foundational courses in drawing, painting, photography, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.). Second-year students will refine and direct their portfolios towards future jobs, and complete advanced courses in both the visual and digital arts.

For their BAS degree, students will complete academic, theory, and foundational courses in the third year of study. In the fourth year, students will refine their portfolios and complete advanced courses in both the visual and digital arts. This prepares them for a successful career in the applied arts.

Our experienced professors, who also work as artists, bring years of knowledge and expertise to the classroom, delivering engaging classes that cover practical skills and meaningful expression. Students work with professors to tailor their projects, course selection, and portfolio development to their career goals.
