The High School + (HS+) program at Lake Washington Institute of Technology consists of adult basic education classes for students looking to improve their skills or pursuing an adult high school completion diploma. The program includes building of basic skills—reading and writing—along with courses in science, history, and literature. Our goal is to prepare HS+ students for college classes. The fee for HS+ classes is $25 per quarter.
The HS+ courses are currently offered through a combination of in-person and online/virtual learning.
The courses are taught live via Zoom (synchronous) on the following days and times:
Attendance is required for either the morning or the evening courses.
Students will have to complete some work online on their own time (asynchronous).
In addition to the two sections offered on Mondays and Wednesdays, there will also a few math classes offered for those who need them with some schedule flexibility (day, evening, or Saturdays).
For more information please contact the HS+ department using the form at the bottom of this page.
We will contact you with more information and get you going on your patch to success!
Request an official copy of your transcript* to the school or schools that you previously attended to be sent to: Lake Washington Institute of Technology , C/0 Maria Olivera-Deal, 11605 132nd Avenue NE, Kirkland, WA 98034.
If you have an unofficial copy of your transcript, we can begin the evaluation with the unofficial transcript but will need an official one for our records until we get the official ones.
If you do not have any records that is fine. We can look and see if you can earn some credits through your life experience.
Please gather documents of any certification, training, community service, or work that you have completed.
Your unofficial records can be sent to HighSchoolPlus@lwtech.edu
Complete the registration process with the help of an LWTech staff member or professor.
Plan to attend either the morning or evening section of the class and math class if needed.
