Associate in Computer Science, DTA/MRP

The Associate in Computer Science DTA/MRP degree prepares you for a seamless transfer to a four-year university, where you can pursue a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Our program fulfills all the requirements of Washington's Direct Transfer Agreement, ensuring a smooth transition to baccalaureate institutions offering Computer Science programs.

College faculty and staff will share information about the degree and the jobs it prepares graduates for. We will explain the application process and answer questions. No RSVP required to attend. All information sessions are virtual via Microsoft Teams.

Participating Institutions for the Computer Science DTA/MRP

Lake Washington Institute of Technology is proud of the many pathway options our students have, to complete an Applied Bachelor or Bachelor of Science degree, both at LWTech, and at in-state universities and colleges. Our DTA/MRP, AAS-T or AAS, can fulfill transfer requirements at multiple institutions thanks to the articulation (transfer) agreements between LWTech and the transfer college.

An Applied Bachelor or Bachelor of Science degree can improve your chances in the job market and help you make more money. Employers want graduates with:

  • Applied knowledge in real-world settings
  • A broad (rather than narrow) education

The Associate in Computer Science DTA/MRP has an agreement between the Community and Technical College System and Washington state universities. Lake Washington Institute of Technology (LWTech) is the first to offer this degree for students choosing to earn a pre-computer science degree in preparation for transfer. Graduates with a 2.0 or better will be able to transfer with junior status with all or most prerequisites for the computer science major completed.
