Lake Washington Institute of Technology (LWTech) offers applied bachelor's degree in Computing and Software Development. Students can transfer to the applied bachelor's program with an associate degree in Computer Science or Computing and Software Development. A computer science applied bachelor’s degree prepares people to work in careers such as software developers, computer programmers, computer systems analysts. These positions are in high demand in Seattle King County regions. Applied Bachelor degree in Computing and Software Development classes include Big Data, cloud computing, algorithm and data structure, database modeling and design, mobile application development, and more.
The Associate in Computer Science DTA/MRP is the newest direct transfer agreement/major related program that has an agreement between the Community and Technical College System and Washington state universities. Lake Washington Institute of Technology (LWTech) is the first to offer this degree for students choosing to earn a pre-computer science degree in preparation for transfer. Graduates with a 2.0 or better will be able to transfer with junior status with all or most prerequisites for the computer science major completed. Lake Washington Institute of Technology does not offer every course each quarter. It is the student's responsibility to consult the Class Schedule and work out an individual schedule with an advisor or counselor. Any developmental coursework a student might be required to complete may increase the program length.
