Class Schedule Search

Search classes by time, type, and other filter options. Class search does not require a LionsLink account. To register for classes, a LionsLink account is required.

Spring 2024: April 1 - June 12, 2024

  • Spring Quarter Classes
  • Students can register online for Spring quarter starting October 30, 2024.
  • Last day to register online: March 31, 2024.

Summer 2024: July 8 - August 30, 2024

  • Online Application Deadline: June 24, 2024
  • Summer Quarter Classes
  • Students can register online for Summer quarter starting May 8, 2024.
  • Last day to register online: July 7, 2024.

Fall 2024: September 23 - December 7, 2024

  • Online Application Deadline: September 9, 2024
  • Fall Quarter Classes
  • Students can register online for Fall quarter starting May 8, 2024.
  • Last day to register online: September 22, 2024.

 


Note About Registering

  • Update: For 2024 Summer and Fall quarter, priority student registration starts May 6th. Continuing students may register May 7th. New student registration starts May 9th.
  • Visit Registration and Enrollment Services webpage for all academic dates.
  • Be sure to register early! The current class schedule is subject to change depending on enrollment, be sure to register early.

Tuition and fee rates are set by the Washington State Legislature, the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges, and the Board of Trustees and are subject to change. LWTech reserves the right to change, without notice, any fees to comply with the state or college regulation or policies.


How to Use Class Schedule Search

Learn how to search for classes in the class schedule and register for classes.

 

Each course will be numbered based on the number of sections that are currently being offered. Some specific courses will have their own designated letter combination. Please see below for definitions.

  • Web Enhanced, Hybrid, and Online courses will be numbered in no particular order: 01, 02, 03, etc.
  • Labs and Clinicals - Labs and Clinicals will also have a letter designating them from their lecture partner. Most of these courses will have a lecture component that is also required. 
    • Labs will be coded with an L (01L).
    • Clinicals will be coded with a C (01C)
  • Other Section Codes - Courses with these section codes may be hybrid, in person, or online

This How-To Guide is for students not enrolled in High School programs.

Lake Washington Technical Academy and Running Start Students: you must register with the assistance of an Advisor. Please add your chosen classes to your Shopping Cart, and then contact your LWTA or RS Advisor for assistance.

Step 1 (Student View

On the LionsLink Portal (LWTech.edu/StudentView), click on β€˜ctcLink Login’.

Tip: You must be logged in to your LionsLink account in order to add classes to your shopping cart and enroll. You can use the β€˜Class Search’ tile if you are just browsing classes. 

Step 2 

Enter your β€˜ctcLink ID’ number and β€˜Password’. Then click on the β€˜Sign in’ button. 

Tip:
If you forgot your password, click on β€˜Password Help’ to reset it. Additional directions can be found in the Reset Your LionsLink Account Password tutorial. 

Step 3

On the left side navigation bar, select β€˜Class Information’. In the newly appeared dropdown, select β€˜Class Search’. 

Tip: Depending on the size of your screen, you may need to click on the β€˜hamburger’ menu icon on the left side of your screen to expand the menu options.

Step 4

From the first search criteria dropdown, select the β€˜Term (Quarter)’ for which you want to view classes for.

The term is required to search for classes. 

Tip: The page may display differently depending on the size of your screen. You may need to scroll to see all information. 

Step 5 

From the second search criteria dropdown, narrow down your search by selecting the β€˜Subject’ for which you want to view classes for.

Tip

  • Can’t find the class you want? Try searching under CCN as well as the regular subject name (Example: β€˜Accounting’ vs. β€˜Accounting (CCN)’).
  • CCNs are Common Course Numbered (CCN) courses and allow for easier transfer between colleges and are noted by an β€œ&” symbol after the department name.

Step 6 (optional)

Select additional filters to narrow your class search results. You may also select β€˜More Filters’ for additional search criteria. 

Step 7 (optional)

Check on the β€˜Show Open Classes Only’ box to see only classes that have space available. 

Tip: Do not check the β€˜Show Open Classes Only’ box if you want to add yourself to a waitlist.

Step 8

Once your filters are set, click on β€˜Search’. 

Step 9

Review the class options.

Tip:

  • Pay special attention to the β€˜Section’ name. This provides information on the course format. 
    • LEC=Lecture
    • LAB=Laboratory/Studio
  • The β€˜Status’ shows how many spots are available. 
    • O=Open
    • W=Waitlist 
    • C=Closed 

Step 10

Expand the course(s) you want to learn more about by clicking the β€˜Caret’ button.

Depending on the size of your screen, it may appear as a β€˜View’ button.

Review all the class details.

Step 11B

Important class details include:

  • β€˜Meets’: Lists the days and times the class takes place. 
  • β€˜Room’: Where class is located on campus.
  • β€˜Instructor’: Who teaches the course.
  • β€˜Status’: How many spots are available.
  • β€˜Enrollment Requirements’: Also known as prerequisites. This is a course or other requirement that must be taken before enrolling. 
  • β€˜Class Notes’: Gives additional details about class meetings and other important information. 
  • β€˜Instruction Mode’: Course format (Example: In person, online, hybrid, etc.)

Step 12

When you are ready to register for a class, click on the β€˜3-dot menu’ on the right.

Click on β€˜Add to Cart’ to save it in your Shopping Cart while you search for additional classes. 

Important Tips for Lab/Studio Classes:

Some classes require you to enroll in two courses at the same time. For example, a β€˜Lecture’ and β€˜Laboratory’ class. If so, add both classes to your Shopping Cart by clicking on β€˜Add to Cart’.

You may be prompted to choose the lab section. If so, select the option β€˜Circle Button’ corresponding to your preferred lab section and click on β€˜Continue’.

Step 13

You will notice the β€˜Permission Number’. These are not being used in LionsLink. Leave this box blank.

If you want to be added to the waitlist for a class, check the box β€˜Wait list if class is full’. 

Click β€˜Save’. 

Step 14

To continue to search/add courses from the class schedule and add to your Shopping Cart, click on the β€˜3-dot menu’. 

Then click β€˜Add to Cart’.

Step 15

When you are ready to enroll in the classes in your cart, select β€˜Enrollment’ on the left side navigation bar. In the newly appeared dropdown, select β€˜Shopping Cart’. 

Step 16

Check the boxes for the classes that you want to enroll in. Then click on the β€˜Enroll’ button. 

Step 17

Review the β€˜Enrollment Results’ window to confirm classes have been added to your schedule. 

If you cannot add a class, an β€˜Error Message’ will appear. 

When the class has been added successfully, the window will say β€˜Added to your schedule’.

Tip: A green results box means that you have either been enrolled in the course or added to the waitlist. A red box means an error occurred and the class has not been added to your schedule. If you have been added to a waitlist, you will see your position number. 

Important Tip - Enrollment Requirements (prerequisites):

If you believe you have met the requirements to enroll in a class, but are being blocked from enrolling, please visit LWTech.edu/LionsLinkStudentHelp for registration assistance.

View Drop/Withdraw From Classes Guide in Full Screen

Please note that dropping/withdrawing from a class: 

  • May impact your Financial Aid and/or your student account balance.
  • Does not guarantee a refund. Pay attention to key refund dates each quarter, which are located at LWTech.edu/Enrollment.
  • Could impact your college transcript and GPA.

Before dropping/withdrawing from a class, you are strongly encouraged to talk to a Financial Aid Specialist. If you are part of a special population program that provides funding, you are strongly encouraged to speak with them as well (ex: Veterans, Worker Retraining, WorkFirst, BFET, Opportunity Grant).

Step 1 (Student View)

On the LionsLink Portal (LWTech.edu/StudentView), click on β€˜ctcLink Login’.

Step 2 

Enter your β€˜ctcLink ID’ number and β€˜Password’. Then click on the β€˜Sign in’ button.

Tip:
If you forgot your password, click on β€˜Password Help’ to reset it. Additional directions can be found in the Reset Your LionsLink Account Password tutorial. 

Step 3

On the left side navigation bar, click on β€˜Enrollment’.

In the newly appeared dropdown, select β€˜Drop Classes’.

Step 4

Check the box next to the class you want to drop. Click on β€˜Drop’ button.

Step 5

Click on β€˜Drop’ on the confirmation message or β€˜Cancel’ to go back.

Step 6

You have successfully dropped/withdrawn from classes.

Click on β€˜OK’ to return to your schedule.

View Join a Class Waitlist Guide in Full Screen

Step 1 (Student View)

On the LionsLink Portal (LWTech.edu/StudentView), click on β€˜ctcLink Login’.

Step 2 

Enter your β€˜ctcLink ID’ number, and click on the β€˜Next’ button. Then enter your β€˜Password’ and click on the β€˜Verify’ button.

Step 3

On the left side navigation bar, click β€˜Class Information’. In the newly appeared dropdown, click β€˜Class Search’. 

Tip: Depending on the size of your screen, you may need to click on the β€˜hamburger’ menu icon on the left side of your screen to expand the menu options.

Step 4

Select additional filters to narrow your class search results. After filters are set, click on β€˜Search’.

Tip: Check β€˜Show Open Classes Only’ if you only want to see classes with available spots. Leave blank if you would like to be added to a waitlist. 

Step 5

When you have identified the class you would like, click the β€˜3-dot menu’on the right. Click on β€˜Add to Cart’ to save it in your Shopping Cart

Step 6

On the Enrollment Options page, check the box for β€˜Waitlist if class is full’, if you would like to be added to the waitlist.

Remember to click β€˜Save’.

Tip: The permission number box is not required. Please leave this blank.

Step 7

To continue to search/add classes from the course schedule to your Shopping Cart, click the β€˜3-dot menu’.

Then click β€˜Add to Cart’.

Step 8

When you are ready to enroll in the classes in your cart, select β€˜Enrollment’ on the left side navigation bar.

In the newly appeared dropdown, select β€˜Shopping Cart’. 

Step 9

β€˜Check the Box or Boxes’for classes you want to enroll in. Click the β€˜Enroll’ button.

Step 10

Review the β€˜Enrollment Results’ window and confirm you are added to the class waitlist. 

Tip: A green results box means success! A red box means an error occurred and the class has not been added to your schedule. If you have been added to a waitlist, you will see your position number. 

Step 11

To check on your waitlisted classes, navigate to β€˜Enrollment’ then β€˜View Waitlist’.

You can view your place in the waitlist line.

Abbreviated Instructions (Student View)

  • Click on β€˜Schedule’.
  • Your schedule will appear in the main dashboard to the right. 
  • Use filters at the top to adjust your view.

Continue for detailed instructions. 

Step 1 (Student View)

On the LionsLink Portal (LWTech.edu/StudentView), click on β€˜ctcLink Login’.

Step 2 

Enter your β€˜ctcLink ID’ number, and click on the β€˜Next’ button. Then enter your β€˜Password’ and click on the β€˜Verify’ button.  

Tip: If you forgot your password, click on β€˜Password Help’ to reset it. Additional directions can be found in the Reset Your LionsLink Account Password tutorial. 

Step 3 

Click on β€˜Schedule’ on the left side navigation bar. 

Step 4

Your class schedule will be displayed in the main window area. You can use the β€˜Dropdowns’ at the top to view your schedule different ways. 

Step 5

Use the β€˜Print Icon’ to print your schedule to your printer or as a PDF. 

You can also use the β€˜Download (.ics)’ dropdown to download your schedule as an .ics format to add to your calendar (Google, iOS/Apple, Outlook, etc.).

 

View Student Account Activation Guide in Full Screen

Step 1

Open a web browser, and go to the LionsLink Powered by ctcLink activation page (LWTech.edu/LionsLinkActivation).

Step 2

Below the login window, click on β€˜Activate Your Account’ link.

Step 3

Follow the instructions by entering your First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, and ID number. Click on β€˜Submit’.

Tip:

  • Current Student? Use your 9-digit student ID number (old SID)
  • New Student? Use your 9-digit ctcLink ID (from welcome email)
  • Getting stuck? Make sure the name you entered is the one you used during admissions

Step 4

Enter your preferred email and phone account recovery information.

Step 5

Create your password and enter it a second time to confirm it. Then, click on β€˜Submit’.

Step 6 

Your account is now activated! Make sure to record your ctcLink ID (this is your new student ID number). Then, click β€˜OK’. 

Step 7 

Use your new student ID number and password to log into the classic view of LionsLink (LWTech.edu/ClassicLogin).

Step 8 

You will be on the β€˜Gateway’ Page. Click on β€˜Student Homepage’ .

Step 9

This is the Classic View Student Homepage. LWTech is now set as your college. You may log out, explore the Classic View Student Homepage, or explore using Student View (LWTech.edu/StudentView).

Tip: Before logging in you will need to activate your account first (one time only). Directions can be found in the Activate your LionsLink Account/ID Number (Start here!) tutorial.

Abbreviated Instructions (Student View)

On the LionsLink Portal, click on β€˜ctcLink Login’. Use the left hand navigation features to explore your options.

Some features are unavailable until Summer quarter 2022.

You may use the β€˜Full Site’ link to visit the Classic View. 

There are two different online LionsLink environments for students. 

Step 1 (Student View)

On the LionsLink Portal (LWTech.edu/StudentView), click on β€˜ctcLink Login’.

Step 2 

Enter your β€˜ctcLink ID’ number, and click on the β€˜Next’ button. Then enter your β€˜Password’ and click on the β€˜Verify’ button.

Tip: If you forgot your password, click on β€˜Password Help’ to reset it. Additional directions can be found in the Reset Your LionsLink Account Password tutorial. 

Step 3

Use the left side β€˜Navigation Bar’, or β€˜Main Dashboard’ to complete tasks. 

Tip: To login to the β€˜Classic View’ of LionsLink, use the left side β€˜Navigation Bar’ and click on β€˜Full Site’. This will take you directly to the β€˜Classic View’.

Step 4

If you attend multiple institutions, use the β€˜Gear Icon’ on the top right of your β€˜Dashboard’ to change institutions (colleges). 

Step 5

When finished, log out at the bottom of the left navigation bar by clicking β€˜Logout’. 

If you do not log out, your session will expire.

View LionsLink Mobile App Guide in Full Screen

Abbreviated Instructions

  • Go to your app provider.
  • Download the β€˜ctcLink’ app. 
  • Click on β€˜ctcLink login’.
  • Sign in with your student ID.
  • Make sure the correct college is chosen.

Step 1

On your mobile device, open the App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android). 

Step 2

In the search bar, enter β€˜ctcLink’. Locate the ctcLink app from the search results. Tap β€˜Get’ to download the app to your device. 

Tip: The app publisher is WA State Board for Community & Technical Colleges (SBCTC).

Step 3

After the download is complete, open the ctcLink app on your device. Select β€˜Don’t Allow’ or β€˜Allow’ to set your notification preferences. 

Tip: Notifications allow you to receive timely messages and helpful information about your LionsLink (Powered by ctcLink) student account. You can turn notifications off at anytime in your phone settings. 

Step 4

Review the Terms and Conditions. Scroll to the bottom and tap β€˜Accept’. 

Tip: To use the ctcLink mobile app, you must accept the terms and conditions.  

Step 5

A list of institutions (colleges) will appear. Locate and select β€˜Lake Washington Inst. of Tech’. 

Step 6 

You should now see the tiles on the LionsLink Portal.

Select the β€˜ctcLink Login’ tile to access the LionsLink Student View. 

Step 7

Select any of the other tiles to access additional resources at LWTech.

Some tiles will direct you to different platforms used by all students. That might be outside of LionsLink. For example, the β€˜Find My Books’ tile will take you to the LWTech Bookstore webpage. 

View Screen Reader Instructions Guide in Full Screen

Note

  • Currently the β€˜Enable Screen Reader Mode’ option at the LionsLink web login page does not automatically activate.
  • Until a permanent fix is in place, please manually adjust your individual preferences to enable the screen reader mode
  • After you make the change, it will remain active until you decide to turn the feature off.​
  • Use the Classic View to begin this process. LWTech.edu/ClassicLogin

There are two instructions for enabling screen readers.

  1. Instructions for Screen Reader Users with sight impairment.
  2. Instructions for Screen Reader Users without sight impairment.

The first set of instructions will be for Screen Reader Users with sight impairment.

Sight Impairment Screen Reader Instructions

Step 1
  1. To turn β€˜Screen Reader Mode’ on, select the β€˜Action’ menu button on the banner.
  2. Press your keyboard’s β€˜Enter’ Key.
  3. The menu options display:
    1. β€˜Personalize Homepage’
    2. β€˜My Preferences’
    3. β€˜Help’
    4. β€˜Sign Out’
Step 2

Use the keyboard down arrow and choose the β€˜My Preferences Sub-Menu’.

Step 3
  1. The β€˜My Preferences’ page displays.
  2. In the main content area β€˜General Settings’ section, select the β€˜Accessibility Layout’ combo box. 
  3. Use the keyboard β€˜Enter’ key to expand the combo box and then choose the β€˜Screen Reader Mode ON’ option.
  4. Select the β€˜Save’ button in the main content area of the page. 
  5. Use the keyboard’s β€˜Enter’ key to save the page.
Step 4: Sign Out and Sign In Again
  1. Select the β€˜Action’ menu button on the top banner.
  2. Press your keyboard β€˜Enter’ key.
  3. Use the β€˜Down Arrow Key’ and choose β€˜Sign Out’.
  4. β€˜Sign In’ again. This will ensure that screen reader mode is on.

Screen Reader Instructions Without Sight Impairment

The β€˜Student Homepage’ in β€˜Classic View’ displays information that may not be visible in the β€˜Student View Dashboard’.

Step 1

After logging in, click on β€˜Student Homepage’.

Step 2

You will be in the β€˜Student Homepage’.

Step 3

Using the β€˜Three Dot’ menu, click β€˜Preferences’.

Step 4

In β€˜My Preferences’, the β€˜General Settings’ section, click β€˜Accessibility Layout’, choose β€˜Screen Reader Mode ON’ option. Select the β€˜Save’  button in the main content area of the page.
