Rex Jacobsen received his bachelor's degree from Western Washington University with concentrations in finance, business administration and Information Technology. Rex's private accounting work experience includes the payroll and human resources departments of Vivendi Universal, SeaMED Corporation and Sierra On-Line. At Sierra On-Line, Rex designed and implemented an information system that merged confidential payroll information with human resource data, which created accounting completion reports for the Internal Revenue Service. At Vivendi Universal, Rex helped merge the company's accounting and human resources information systems into a multimillion-dollar PeopleSoft platform. Rex also has set up computerized systems for small businesses using QuickBooks.
Senior Adjunct Professor
As a Pacific Northwest native, Carol grew up in Bellevue and moved on to the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma for her undergraduate degree in Business Administration, with an Accounting concentration.
After passing the CPA exam, she worked for the Federal government in various auditing positions before making the transition to a private accounting practice. During this time, she also received a Masterโs degree in Management from Troy State University.
Carol specializes in working with small businesses and in setting up accounting systems and software.
When not busy at Lake Washington Tech, she also teaches knitting and loves to cook.
