The International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 302, has been designated as the collective bargaining representative for the bargaining unit comprising custodial, grounds, and maintenance staff.
IUOE members provide operational and maintenance services for the LWTech campus facilities.
Your LWTech IUOE members perform many essential services for our campus community in maintaining a clean, healthy, safe, secure and welcoming environment. These engaged, friendly professionals maintain your campus facilities through our grounds, custodial, maintenance, shipping/receiving and campus public safety positions.
Our union works hard to understand the concerns of all our members and to respectfully communicate with the College leadership our interests regarding fair compensation, working conditions, safety, training opportunities and exploring long-term solutions in a mutually cooperative manner. We have scheduled (and special) LMCs throughout year with management which have been proven beneficial to both the College and our Union to resolve issues.
The shop steward is your on-campus contact for union questions.
