Nursing

The Associate Applied Science - Registered Nurse program is currently designed to provide entry into the nursing profession. This nursing program is six quarters, not including pre-requisites. The program is approved by the Washington State Nursing Commission. Upon completion, graduates are eligible to take the state board licensing exam for registered nurses.

Degree: AAS-Nursing

Starts fall quarter.

Practical Nurse (LPN)

Develop skills for a practical nursing career in a hospital, long-term care facility, physician's office, clinic or other healthcare facility. The program is approved by the Washington State Nursing Commission. Upon completion, graduates are eligible to take the state board licensing exam.

LWTC Partners with Edmonds CC

In order to accommodate additional nursing students during the academic year, LWTC partners with Edmonds Community College (EdCC) as a satellite location for the LPN program. This program will be offered as a part-time program and upon admission takes 18 months to complete. Courses for the first three quarters will be taught at EdCC, courses for the next two quarters are split between EdCC and LWTC, and the final quarter will only be taught at LWTC. The admission process is handled by EdCC.

When students graduate, their LPN certificate will be from Lake Washington Technical College.
