Payment Date
All tuition and fees are due by the first day of the quarter. Students are encouraged to pay tuition and fees at the time of registration or to enroll in the STEPP program (payment plan). Bills will not be issued before the quarter starts. You can find out how much you owe on our payments page.
Students who enroll after the first day of the quarter must pay tuition and fees at the time of registration.
Students with tuition and fees that have not been received by the 5th day of the quarter are subject to being dropped from classes. Students enrolled in the STEPP program or have previously arranged funding through an LWTC office (Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Worker Retraining, etc.) will not be dropped for nonpayment.

Tuition Rates 2008-2009*
LWTC does not differentiate between residents and non-residents. The tuition is the same whether you are a resident of Washington state or not. International student rates, however, do differ. Please see Special Tuition Rates below.

Fees are computed by the registered quarter and are charged to the exact cents. Total training time may vary by program and/or student, so total fees paid may vary.
Students are responsible for additional costs incurred with textbooks, lab kits and other supplies.
Included in tuition are $10.85 in additional fees per credit. For example, the rate for 1-5 credits of $76.73 includes a base tuition charge of $65.88 plus additional fees of $10.85. The $10.85 includes:
- $2.17 comprehensive fee
- $2.15 facilities
- $2.48 student activities fee
- $2.14 safety/security fee
- $1.91 building fee
Tuition Waivers
Lab and supply fees are not eligible for most waivers. Certain courses may be restricted from some waivers. Contact the Enrollment Services office for eligibility and documentation requirements for each waiver or for questions on specific courses.

35% tuition waiver (you pay 65% tuition) on a space-available basis after course begins. Waiver is not available for self-support classes. Waiver does not apply to lab or supply fees. Contact the Enrollment Services office for eligibility and documentation requirements. |
