Lake Washington Technical College, located in beautiful Kirkland, Washington, offers 27 exciting associate of applied science degrees and 50 specialized certificate programs along with customized business and industry training. We’re one of 34 public two-year colleges governed by the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges, and one of Kirkland's largest employers with more than 550 full- and part-time faculty and staff.

Application Process

Online

Employment applications and affirmative action information (optional) is available online. Please note other application materials may also be required. Before you complete the application, check to make sure the position is still open.

The form can be completed in Microsoft Word. If you are asked for a password, please click on "cancel" and the form will load in your browser. Then simply save the form to your hard drive and open it in Microsoft Word.

Once you’ve completed the forms, you may e-mail it as an attachment to Human Resources, or print it and follow instructions for mailing or faxing your application below.

If you e-mail your employment application form, you will be required to sign the form if you are selected for an interview.

2) Complete, sign and mail or fax the application to the college by the deadline noted in the job listing. The completed application must be received by 4:30 p.m. on the closing date. If you fax your application, you will need to send the signed original by mail within a week.

By mail

To get an application packet by mail, please call, write, e-mail or fax your request to the Human Resources Office. Please check to make sure the position is still open and note the job number in your request. If the position is within three days of closing, we will not mail application information, but you may still come to the campus (click for map) and pick up an application or download a copy online.

How to submit your completed application

First, make sure you’ve completed the application packet in full. Only completed applications will be considered, and only for open positions. Fill out, sign and mail or fax the application materials to the college by the deadline date noted in the job listing. The application must be received by 4:30 p.m. on the closing date. If you fax your application, you will need to send the signed original by mail within a week.

Candidates whose backgrounds (as detailed in their submitted application) are most closely suited to the essential functions of the position will be invited to meet with a screening committee. The screening committee will interview all selected candidates and recommend finalists. Interviewees will be asked to bring a list of three professional references with phone numbers and a definition of their working relationship.
